Frequently Asked Questions
Why do birds need light?
Birds need the same amount of light every day to stay healthy and happy. This is due to their hormones. HappyBird bird lamps can be connected to a specially designed timer to gently turn the light on and off at the same time every day. Your bird will love you for it!
Does the bird lamp provide my bird with vitamin D?
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a lamp that stimulates vitamin D production. If someone claims that their bird lamp does this, they are not telling the truth.
Does the bird lamp get hot?
HappyBird bird lamps don’t get hot—not even a little bit. They are completely safe for both birds and people, no matter the distance. Safety is our top priority in the design of all HappyBird bird lamps. So your bird can stay healthy and happy.
What is the difference between bird lamps with and without a beak guard?
Bird lamps with and without bite protection differ only in their design. The light emitted is identical for both versions.
Lamps with bite protection have been specially designed to protect your birds, such as parrots and other birds with hooked beaks. They feature a steel mesh that shields the LEDs and a stainless steel casing that protects your birds from the power cord.
Lamps without bite protection are ideal for birds that are less prone to chewing, such as finches and canaries.
