While raising parrots and other pet birds, HappyBird founder Mark realized that there were no suitable bird lamps on the market. The pet lamps available were mostly designed for aquariums, reptiles, or greenhouses and were not tailored to the specific needs of birds’ sensitive eyes.

As a trained engineer with years of experience in bird breeding, Mark decided on the spot to develop his own bird lamps. After years of research, the tried-and-true HappyBird bird lamps were finally created with a great deal of passion and attention to detail.

To provide optimal protection for birds with hooked beaks that love to peck, HappyBird bird lamps are available with an additional pecking guard. Using a bird lamp in combination with the HappyBird timer is particularly effective, as it ensures a regular day-night cycle and gently fades the light in and out over a period of 20 minutes.
